This Thanksgiving is an extra special one. It marks our first anniversary, our “birthday” in an industry all about celebrating birthdays. And we have so much to be thankful for!
Starting Princess Ever After symbolized more than a dream to create a magical company. To our founder, forming Princess Ever After meant not only creating an unsurpassed magical experience for Denver’s children but also forming a safe haven for performers and customers alike. Performers are why we exist; they’re our heart and soul. They’re the front line that brings the magic into your homes for you, your children, and your family friends. That’s why this Thanksgiving we wanted to make a special shout-out of thanks to each member of our Princess Ever After family.
Here’s a special thanks to each Princess Ever After performer in reverse order of who’s been with us the longest of this past year.
A big welcome to you, Sara! You’re not only the newest member of the team but also our youngest. You make a stunning Arabian Princess and we’re so proud to debut her with you bringing her to life. You’ve already been such a big help filling in for last minute requests, and I’m excited to see your journey unfold.
Another big welcome to you, Kyra! You have so much princessing experience under your belt already that you’re such a pro. Even in your training party you got raving reviews. So blessed to have your amazing talent and positive spirit in our midst. I can’t wait for you to have even more opportunities to spread joy to more children around Colorado.
It’s hard to believe you’re our third newest performer. It feels like you’re an old-timer already. It’s wonderful to have you on the team and so refreshing to know we can always rely on you to jump right in when we need to rearrange schedules. You’re such an asset to our group and we’re lucky to have you. I’m so glad Charlotte brought you to our photoshoot; otherwise, we would have really missed out!
It’s such a delight to have you on the team. You have such a versatile look (a great voice to match) that it’s easy to place you on almost character. When you originally auditioned, we didn’t even have a character open – so we ordered a new costume just for you! You continue to impress with your willingness to try things outside your comfort zone… even if it means face painting your whole family.
Some people take time to get used to princessing; you had a knack for it right from the beginning. Even at your training party you received not just one but two of the best reviews we’ve ever seen. You’re an amazingly talented performer, and it’s a privilege to have you as part of the cast.
You are such a warm, kind, caring person and kids clearly pick up on that they love you. When you told us you had five children of your own, we nearly fell out of our seats. You do not look old enough to have five children – or any for that matter. It’s such an honor to have a wonderful mother like you in our cast. You bring a sense of nurturing to classic characters like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty that none of the rest of us can touch. Thank you for your sweet spirit and willingness to volunteer your time whenever we’re doing charity events.
Your spunky personality is infectious, and it makes you naturally a perfect Rapunzel – not that you’re not great as other characters, too. We all feed off your energy and are lucky to have someone with your enthusiasm. You’re a constant reminder to love what we do and to stay inspired by the magic. Thank you for providing not only your talents but also your uplifting attitude.
You are the epitome of “brains and beauty,” which makes it so fitting you’re one of our primary Belles. Not too many princesses can say one of their majors was neuroscience. Thank you for your interest in going beyond just performing and learning about other parts of the business; your natural curiosity will serve you well. We’re so glad to have you as part of the PEA family and looking forward to seeing your career grow both as a princess and in whichever of your challenging majors you decide to pursue.
It’s so funny that we wound up connecting through your mother! Moms have a way of finding the best for their kids, but I think we were the lucky ones here. It’s such a privilege to have you on our cast. You’re wonderfully talented and such a joy to be around. We miss you while you’re in NYC, but we know you’re studying to do more of what you love. Can’t wait to see what exciting new adventures are in store for you!
Heidi
Even though you moved off to get married, we won’t hold that against you. You’re still one of the family! Thank you for being here in the beginning and being willing to jump in to cover crazy requests … even ones that get cancelled last minute. You have such a beautiful voice and I know you’ll continue to thrive wherever you. Best wishes on your journey with your new husband!
You are truly one of the sweetest people we’ve ever met. You’re always the first to volunteer to help out with charity events or just lend a hand in general. Your willingness and enthusiasm to jump in and learn things – like characters with difficult accents – is admirable and much appreciated. Thank you for your kind spirit, your patience, and your generosity. You’re such a gem – a genuine sweetheart and a talented actress with a great voice.
Camille
Having you on our cast list was truly an honor. It’s bittersweet that now you’re off in NYC and Germany (can’t even keep up with all your travels!) performing, auditioning, and living the life of a performer. We couldn’t expect to keep you here forever; you have a talent that you need to share with the world. We still brag about how you’re off taking the opera world by storm. Thank you for being here in the beginning when it was just a handful of us. I know we’ll see many more great things from you.
You were here from the first casting call, and for that we can’t thank you enough. Thank you for your belief in such a new, small company. We had such fun in those early days with only a few characters. It’s a privilege to have such a talented singer on our team; you can tell all those years of having a father who teaches singing has paid off. Looking forward to having you back in December! You’re such a beautiful person inside and out.
Where to begin? You’ve been here since the very beginning. You’ve helped us grow from a two-person cast to where we are now. You were much of the inspiration for the foundation of the company. Seeing how you were treated where you came from is why performer respect is one of our core values. You are a real-life Cinderella, not in a rags to riches story, but in how you’re a genuine, kind spirit even to those who are most cruel to you. Thank you for sharing your incredible talents and your profound kindness with us and the children we meet. Thank you for the year we’ve spent together and for sharing with us your voice, your beauty, and your uplifting spirit.
Thank you not only to our performers but also to our extended family – you, our loyal customers! Each of us is so grateful to come into your homes and hearts each day. Thank you for letting us spread so much magic is such a short period. It seems trivial in light of all we have to give thanks for, but we’d like to offer a small token of our appreciation. Celebrate with us by using code thankful4birthdays to receive $10 off any booking you place through Thanksgiving.
Now just under a year later, we are the trendsetters. Our innovations made a splash, and competitors took notice and followed our lead. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, and it drives us to continue growing, innovating, and never settling. There’s always something new on the horizon, always a way to make the experience more magical.
It’s only fitting that our first birthday falls on Thanksgiving. What a perfect reminder to be thankful for where we started, how far we’ve come, and what’s in store for the future!
